One Day Conference and Cultural Competition(Bible Quiz) of Marth Mariam Vanitha Samajam(M.M.V.S.), Diocese of Delhi was held at St. George Orthodox Church, Dwarka on Sunday, 10 February’19 with the Theme for Conference:“Be Kind to one Another” and Rev. Fr. Aju Abraham(Vicar, St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral Church, Hauz Khas) as resource person. Our Diocesan Metropolitan,H.G. Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios, Rev. Fr. Pathrose Joy(Vice President) and other reverend priests came and blessed by their presence.
Participants from different units under Delhi Diocese gathered for the event.

IInd Position: St. Mary’s O. Cathedral, Hauz Khas
IIIrd Position: St. Thomas O. Church, Ghaziabad

St. Thomas Primary School, Loni functioning under St. Thomas Orthodox Church Society, Ghaziabad celebrated it’s very first annual day, “ANKURAN” at it’s school Campus last evening 10 February’19. Our Diocesan Metropolitan, H.G. Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios presided the occasion and blessed it as the Chief Guest. Rev. Fr. Shaji Mathews, Chairman; Rev. Fr. Lany Chacko, Manager(Sahibabad School); other revered priest from nearby parishes, Office Bearers of Society; School governing body members; former and Present Principal, teachers from Sahibabad & Indirapuram school branches with Parishioners gathered for this event.
Evening started with a Glimpse of last one year journey from orientation to beginning of Classes and later on with many colorful, spectacular and thoughtful conceptualized performances by the young, bright and full of talent who just recently joined into the Thomasian Family before their parents and dignitaries present.
Mrs. Shali Nair, Principal emphasized although just germinated but will grow into a big and mighty tree spreading out it’s branches in the coming times.

The Theme of this year’s Dialogue is the ‘Sacrament of Marriage – points of Convergence between the Catholic and the Oriental Orthodox Churches‘. H.G. Dr. Zachariah Mar Nicholovas & H.G. Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios representing from Malankara Orthodox Church for the Dialogue

HG Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios will be presenting the paper for the Malankara Orthodox Church.

‘YOUTH FEST’, an annual Cultural Competition of Orthodox Christian Youth Movement(O.C.Y.M.), Diocese of Delhi will held at St. Thomas School, Indirapuram on Sunday, 03 Feb’19 from 10:00 AM onwards. Participants from different Parishes under Delhi Diocese will gather for the event.
Mr. Alexander Daniel, rtd. IPS will inaugural the Competition.

Our Diocesan Metropolitan, H.G. Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios celebrated his birthday with Holy Qurbana and thereafter a small celebration at St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral, Hauz Khas on 18 Dec’18. Reverend clergies, office bearers of spiritual organisations and people from surrounding parishes gathered for it.

Distribution of relief material collected from Delhi were done by our Diocesan Metropolitian Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios at St.George Orthodox Church Karackal, Thiruvalla to the flood affected people. Diocesan Secretary Fr Saji Yohannan, Office Secretary Fr. Abin Jacob, Vicar of Parish Fr. Scaria K.C. along with Office Bearers also helped in carrying out this noble work
